The reason behind his post was the filing of President Duterte’s Certificate of Candidacy after he repeatedly confirmed that he will not run anymore.

Unexpectedly, his post went viral on the internet, garnering a lot of hate feedback not just only to Chef Labao, but also to the business itself.

Months after Chef Labang’s post, this talk of the down subsided a bit, however, during the counting of votes for Presidency, this #WeNeverForget post went viral again on Facebook. Yes, netizens have never forgotten!

Lo and behold, here’s Quim’s Cake response to thousands of concerned netizens garnering 8,800++ shares, 26,000 likes, and 7,000+ comments on Facebook.

Staying true to their promise, Chef Elaquim Labao, together with Quim’s Cake co-owners, Mr. Anthony M. Haber and Mr. Jhollow Ignacio, started giving out cakes yesterday, July 1, 2016!
