My Island Star Express Kalibo-Boracay Land Transfer Experience

My Island Star Express Kalibo-Boracay Land Transfer Experience

Our Boracay vacation will never be the same without the convenience of our Kalibo-Boracay land and sea transfers provided by Island Star Express.

Because I tried Island Star Express the third time this year already, I can definitely say and recommend this transfer service to anyone looking for a fast, reliable, and convenient transfer may you be in Kalibo or Caticlan to your hotel in Boracay and vice versa.

The first time I tried Island Star, I booked via TravelBook.ph and surprisingly cost me lower than other local transfer services. This include transfer from Kalibo Airport to Caticlan Jetty Port and finally to your hotel. A day before our flight back to Manila, one of their Boracay coordinators called us, informing the time of pick up in our hotel.

If you want to book you Boracay Transfers via TravelBook.ph , you may call them at 662-1111.

OUR LAND AND SEA BORACAY TRANSFER EXPERIENCE

ARRIVAL

Days prior our Boracay vacation last June 2016, we scheduled our Kalibo Airport pick up at 10AM.  When we got out of the airport, we approached the Island Star Express booth and saw our names in their board held by one of the staff.

I don’t know but I find it sweet and cute every time I am welcomed with a board with my name on it. Haha! Long list here but on my first time to book here at Island Star, we were just two or three in a big board, with one of the staff holding it in front of the arrival area. It’s like, “Hello! Where are you guys? I’m here!!”. Cute! Sorry, I just have to say it! Haha!

Anyway, upon confirmation, we were given stickers with Island Star logo in it for us to be easily identified.

Here are some of their transit units. As I remembered, we also used a van on our first Boracay vacation last January 2016 because we’re just 3 or 4 back then.

Hello there! 🙂

My ever-supportive Mother! Feels like it’s our first time here in Boracay!

We seated at the back of the driver and after some pictures with my Mother, we didn’t event notice that we’re already dozing off! Would you believe that I slept the whole 2 hours? When I woke up, we’re already in Caticlan. Amazing! Then I realized maybe Kuya’s driving skills are really that great. Haha!

Sorry for the picture, I just love how my cute we are here! Haha!

Welcome to Caticlan Jetty Port

Upon arrival, we were asked to get inside the port, write our names in the reception, and wait for the Island Star Express Coordinator for our sea transfer. We were instructed again to give P175 for the environmental fee and terminal fee (if I’m not mistaken). But I am sure that we paid P175 for these two fees.

After waiting for a couple minutes for the others to finish paying, the Coordinator lead the way to the boat that will take us to Boracay.

Hello, #Boracay!

After a 15 minutes or less, we finally arrived in Boracay. I was not able to take some pictures of the boat and Boracay port because I was still sleepy that time. Haha.

We then headed outside the port to the terminal. We were six (6) in this L300 but since our hotel was the farthest, we took the chance to have some selfie as soon as the last tourists alighted. 🙂

After about 20 minutes, we finally already arrived at Alta Vista de Boracay!

DEPARTURE

Our flight is 12:30 in the afternoon so we got up earlier than expected, cooked our breakfast (yes, there’s a kitchen in Alta Vista de Boracay, Serviced Apartment!), packed our things, and bid goodbye to the resort.

After some picture taking in and outside the room and making sure that we didn’t forget anything, Island Star Express arrived just in time.

Before we say goodbye Boracay, we took a couple of pictures taken at Alta Vista de Boracay pool side and in the lobby area.

20 minutes passed and we already arrived at the Boracay Port (not sure what’s the name of the port) and another Island Star Coordinator greeted us and gave us stickers.

We just gave P100 each, seated for awhile, and one of the coordinators gave us this.

Here’s the ticketing office for terminal fees.

“Will take a picture of you!! It’s Marvin’s!”, said Mama to me.

As much as I remembered, it was 8:30AM when we arrived here at the Jetty Port. And here’s our van going to Kalibo!
