August 2016 is already over but then again, I opted to list some of my loveliest memories that are all worthy to be remembered. 

We cannot always expect the best memories and experiences every month, but instead, I believe that we just need to appreciate every little blessing that comes our way. I am currently loving my thoughts right now and would love to share my August memories to all of you because it is not just August.

‘NOT JUST AUGUST’

This month has not been easy for me. I’ve had a couple of downsides which made me feel real low, but of course, as I was rechecking the whole month of August, I am so glad that it is also full of surprises, happy memories and blessings too.

1. Caramoan Trip Hosted By TravelBook Philippines Affiliate Team

This is actually one of the happiest and memorable Blogger Getaway trips I ever experienced. Being surrounded with amazing, creative, and happy people made this trip full of laughter and fun! TravelBook Philippines Affiliate Team hosted their very first blogger getaway in Caramoan together with 15 blog contest winners last August 26-29, 2016! 2. Bullet Journal

I heard about Bullet Journal during my Ayala Land days when my former Manager shared his notebook to me. However, he didn’t explain everything. As much as I remembered, he is just happy and would like to let me know that this Bullet Journal helps him to be more productive at work. I think I searched a little about it, but was not really pushed to start having one.

I was thinking now, maybe if he is a girl with all those cute stuff, banners, and whatnot, maybe I would immediately go to the nearest bookstore right then and there and buy the first notebook and colorful pens I see. Hah!

Anyway, it was last August 8, 2016 when I remembered how cute and dainty my friend’s notebook is. Hi Nizza Gueco! She is the owner of nizzagueco.com and other websites by the way. This is one intelligent and productive lady, I must say!

So, I immediately checked her Facebook profile again and looked for photos of her BuJo (Bullet Journal), though I am not really sure if that’s what she’s doing. After I confirmed that she’s using this method, I immediately googled it, checked out pinterest and right after the excitement goes into me, I quickly looked for a spare notebook that I can use in my shelf and luckily found one!

So excited to write everything about Bullet Journal on my separate blog post!

3. My Adsense Reached $100 Threshold!

After a couple of years, finally, I can now withdraw my first Adsense Payment! For an inactive blogger like me, the $100 threshold is really big! But I am so happy to say that I reached the target last August 22 and it’s continuing to grow! Just so happy!

My other blogs, ilovemasbate.blogspot.com, virews.blogspot.com, and other blogs helped me reach this target as well. Yey!

4. Pokemon Day in BGC

Pokemon Go game was an instant hit here in the Philippines for the past months. And last August 7, a day after it was launched here in the Philippines, my boyfriend and I went to BGC, particularly in Bonifacio High Street to catch some Pokemons.

We had some good laugh, shared a couple of stories and bonded real good. Yes, one happy day. It’s just nice to remember that we walked and walked just to catch some Pokemons. Haha!

5. Renewed ofloveandfaith.com

As I mentioned in my about page, my boyfriend and I have a couple blog, which is marvinandpia.blogspot.com but then, I thought of something special and ofloveandfaith.com came across my mind. The original plan was this would be the platform for anything about us.  But then, I could not write anything about us for the past years. After a couple of months, last February 2016, I discovered something heartbreaking which was the reason why I can’t blog about us.

Check ofloveandfaith.com and will continue my story there! 😉

So glad I decided to renew this domain.

6. Lifestyle Blog Plan

Since I want piathought to be a more personal blog, I planned on making a new website focused on lifestyle. Will let you all know soon! So excited!

7. #ChangeTheWayYouSee Nuffnang Blog Contest Winner

August 21, Sunday, was the last day bloggers can send their entries for Nuffnang’s Change The Way You See Blog Contest for the 3rd week.

Sunday is a very busy day for me. Weekends are special because these are the days where I can devote more time to personal things and family time as well.

However, I was just so eager to join this contest that I really pushed myself to complete my entry before the clock strikes 12 midnight! Fortunately, I was able to send the link at 11: 45PM, if my memory serves me well.

Wednesday (August 24) came, and I just saw an Instagram notification that Nuffnang tagged me in one of their posts! So happy to see that I won the contest and the amazing Huawei P9 is the prize!

8. Finally Met Izza Glino of savingspinay.com.ph and izzaglino.blogspot.com

Last but definitely not the least, I already met Izza Glino! And because she is one of the 15 TravelBook.ph’s blog winners for our Blogger Getaway, we also had the time to bond in Caramoan! We even took friendship pictures! So cute!

I love how she writes, put everything in place, plans, organizes stuff, and we also share the same passion, Bullet Journal!

I stumbled upon her blog one rainy afternoon while I’m in a particular coffee shop in Kapitolyo. I was really having a hard time that day when I saw her blog — and the next big thing happened, I was in love with her posts! I love how she just pours herself into writing without thinking about anyone and anything. Everything is just genuine and full of effort.
